One cell in the SPMC ring. Carries the payload plus a sequence number the seqlock protocol uses to detect torn or lapped reads.
Exposed only so callers can name the Allocation<Slot<T>>
bound when writing generic helpers over the queue; there are no methods
intended for direct use.
