Crc64Nvme

Struct Crc64Nvme

Source
pub struct Crc64Nvme { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

CRC-64/NVME over a payload delivered in pieces.

A direct multipart upload needs this digest twice over the same bytes: once per part, for the header the provider enforces on the way in, and once over the whole stream, for the reference completion verifies. Parts fed in order produce both without the object ever being held whole.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Crc64Nvme

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Starts an empty digest.

Source

pub fn update(&mut self, bytes: &[u8])

Folds the next piece of the payload in, in order.

Source

pub fn finish(self) -> StorageChecksum

Closes the digest over everything fed so far.

The value is the big-endian spelling of the 64-bit result, which is what the raw checksum bytes are on the wire and therefore what the hex here has to be.
