Expand description

TOML file representation of client configuration.

All fields are optional — missing fields use defaults from [ClientConfigBuilder]. Convert to a builder via FileConfig::into_builder.

§Example liter-llm.toml

api_key = "sk-..."
base_url = "https://api.openai.com/v1"
timeout_secs = 120
max_retries = 5

[cache]
max_entries = 512
ttl_seconds = 600
backend = "memory"

[budget]
global_limit = 50.0
enforcement = "hard"

[[providers]]
name = "my-provider"
base_url = "https://my-llm.example.com/v1"
model_prefixes = ["my-provider/"]

Implementations§

Source§

impl FileConfig

Source

pub fn from_toml_file(path: impl AsRef<Path>) -> Result<Self>

Load from a TOML file path.

Source

pub fn from_toml_str(s: &str) -> Result<Self>

Parse from a TOML string.

Source

pub fn discover() -> Result<Option<Self>>

Discover liter-llm.toml by walking from current directory to filesystem root.

Returns Ok(None) if no config file is found.

Source

pub fn into_builder(self) -> ClientConfigBuilder

Convert into a ClientConfigBuilder, applying all fields that are set.

Fields not present in the TOML file use the builder’s defaults.

Source

pub fn providers(&self) -> &[FileProviderConfig]

Get the custom provider configurations from this file config.
