pub struct ManifestHandle(/* private fields */);Expand description
A cursor-owned pin that prevents reclamation of a generation’s physical files.
§Arc-count invariant
The strong count of the wrapped Arc<IndexManifest> is the authoritative
reader reference count: exactly one reference is held by
ManifestCatalog (the active slot or a retired entry) and every
additional reference is owned by a live handle produced via
ManifestCatalog::acquire or ManifestCatalog::acquire_generation.
A retired generation is therefore reclaimable exactly when its count is 1
(only the catalog’s own entry). Code outside this module must never clone
a manifest Arc directly — always go through the catalog so reclamation
stays sound.
