pub struct SessionTransactionController { /* private fields */ }Expand description
Session-level controller for explicit transactions.
Tracks the currently active explicit transaction for a session with
a proper state machine. The controller validates state transitions but
does NOT own a [TransactionManager] reference — the caller (typically
the API layer) performs the actual begin/commit/rollback operations
on the manager and uses this controller for state tracking and scope
creation.
Thread-safe: uses internal synchronization so it can be shared via Arc.
Implementations§
Source§impl SessionTransactionController
impl SessionTransactionController
pub fn new() -> Self
Sourcepub fn state(&self) -> TransactionState
pub fn state(&self) -> TransactionState
Current state of the session’s explicit transaction.
Sourcepub fn is_active(&self) -> bool
pub fn is_active(&self) -> bool
Whether an explicit transaction is active and can execute queries.
Sourcepub fn auto_commit(&self) -> bool
pub fn auto_commit(&self) -> bool
Whether auto-commit mode is enabled (outside explicit transactions).
Sourcepub fn rollback_only(&self) -> bool
pub fn rollback_only(&self) -> bool
Whether the current transaction has been marked rollback-only.
Sourcepub fn current_transaction_id(&self) -> Option<TransactionId>
pub fn current_transaction_id(&self) -> Option<TransactionId>
Return the active explicit transaction ID, if any.
Sourcepub fn begin_tracking(
&self,
transaction_id: TransactionId,
read_write: bool,
) -> Result<(), QueryError>
pub fn begin_tracking( &self, transaction_id: TransactionId, read_write: bool, ) -> Result<(), QueryError>
Begin tracking a new explicit transaction.
The caller should have already created the transaction on the
TransactionManager before calling this method.
Sourcepub fn begin_commit(&self) -> Result<TransactionId, QueryError>
pub fn begin_commit(&self) -> Result<TransactionId, QueryError>
Transition to committing state. Returns the active transaction ID.
After calling this, the caller should perform the actual commit
on the TransactionManager, then call [commit_finalize] on success
or [fail_commit] on error.
Sourcepub fn commit_finalize(&self)
pub fn commit_finalize(&self)
Finalize a successful commit.
Sourcepub fn fail_commit(&self)
pub fn fail_commit(&self)
Mark commit as failed — transition to RollbackOnly.
Sourcepub fn begin_rollback(&self) -> Result<TransactionId, QueryError>
pub fn begin_rollback(&self) -> Result<TransactionId, QueryError>
Transition to rolling-back state. Returns the active transaction ID.
Sourcepub fn rollback_finalize(&self)
pub fn rollback_finalize(&self)
Finalize a successful rollback.
Sourcepub fn mark_rollback_only(&self)
pub fn mark_rollback_only(&self)
Mark the current transaction as rollback-only.
Sourcepub fn set_auto_commit(&self, enabled: bool)
pub fn set_auto_commit(&self, enabled: bool)
Enable or disable auto-commit mode.
Sourcepub fn current_scope(&self) -> TransactionScope
pub fn current_scope(&self) -> TransactionScope
Get the current explicit TransactionScope for query binding.
Sourcepub fn command_scope() -> TransactionScope
pub fn command_scope() -> TransactionScope
Create a TransactionScope::CommandScope for transaction control
statements (BEGIN / COMMIT / ROLLBACK).
