Expand description

Daemon lock stored at .git/grite/actors/<actor_id>/daemon.lock

Fields§

§pid: u32

Process ID of the lock holder

§started_ts: u64

When the daemon started (Unix timestamp in ms)

§repo_root: String

Repository root path

§actor_id: String

Actor ID (hex-encoded)

§host_id: String

Stable host identifier

§ipc_endpoint: String

Unix socket path (e.g., “/tmp/grite-daemon.sock”)

§lease_ms: u64

Lease duration in milliseconds

§last_heartbeat_ts: u64

Last heartbeat timestamp (Unix timestamp in ms)

§expires_ts: u64

When the lock expires (Unix timestamp in ms)

Implementations§

Source§

impl DaemonLock

Source

pub fn new( pid: u32, repo_root: String, actor_id: String, host_id: String, ipc_endpoint: String, ) -> Self

Create a new daemon lock

Source

pub fn with_lease(self, lease_ms: u64) -> Self

Create a lock with a custom lease duration

Source

pub fn is_expired(&self) -> bool

Check if the lock has expired

Source

pub fn is_owned_by_current_process(&self) -> bool

Check if the lock is held by this process

Source

pub fn time_remaining_ms(&self) -> u64

Remaining time until expiration in milliseconds

Source

pub fn refresh(&mut self)

Refresh the heartbeat and extend the lease

Source

pub fn lock_path(data_dir: &Path) -> PathBuf

Get the lock file path for an actor data directory

Source

pub fn read(data_dir: &Path) -> Result<Option<Self>, IpcError>

Read a lock from the filesystem

Source

pub fn write(&self, data_dir: &Path) -> Result<(), IpcError>

Write the lock to the filesystem

Source

pub fn remove(data_dir: &Path) -> Result<(), IpcError>

Remove the lock file

Source

pub fn acquire( data_dir: &Path, repo_root: String, actor_id: String, host_id: String, ipc_endpoint: String, ) -> Result<Self, IpcError>

Try to acquire the lock

Returns Ok(lock) if acquired, Err if held by another non-expired process. Uses atomic file creation to prevent two processes from acquiring the lock simultaneously when an expired lock is being replaced.

Source

pub fn release(data_dir: &Path) -> Result<(), IpcError>

Release the lock (only if owned by current process)
