A column type a module contributes, so a list can render a cell the framework has no built-in for (a rating, a map thumbnail, a currency amount).

The key is the type’s own ColumnType::view_key, so a registration cannot disagree with the type it registers. Use a dotted vendor.name to stay clear of the built-ins and of other modules.
