Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

LeaseLost

A held KvLease expired, was released, or was re-acquired by another holder, so its token no longer protects mutations. The caller must stop its protected work; a new epoch needs a fresh acquisition.

Stale

A barriered KvGet could not be answered: the local fold did not reach required within the server’s wait bound, or the request’s topic generation does not match the fold’s. Explicitly never mapped to an absent value; retry against a caught-up fold.

NotLeader

This plane does not own the mutation partition for the key. The caller may retry after the streaming client refreshes partition leadership.
