ConsumerBuilder

Struct ConsumerBuilder

Source
pub struct ConsumerBuilder { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Configures a live partition or consumer-group reader.

A group consumer on a server that resolves group policies reads through the group-aware engine: the server runs the group’s policy, filtered or unfiltered, and the consumer acknowledges through the fenced group contract. On Apache Iggy, or a managed server whose probe positively announced no filters, it is the native Iggy group consumer. Every option below applies to both, except where noted.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ConsumerBuilder

Source

pub fn batch_length(self, batch_length: u32) -> Self

Most records one poll returns. A policy-aware group consumer also examines at most this many source records per partition poll, so a selective policy returns fewer records, down to none, while progress still advances.

Source

pub fn poll_interval(self, poll_interval: Duration) -> Self

How long the consumer waits after a poll that found nothing new.

Source

pub fn without_poll_interval(self) -> Self

Poll again at once after an empty poll. A policy-aware group consumer keeps a short wait so an idle partition is not spun on.

Source

pub fn start_at(self, start: ConsumerStart) -> Self

Source

pub fn commit_policy(self, commit: CommitPolicy) -> Self

Source

pub fn auto_join_group(self, auto_join: bool) -> Self

Native only. A policy-aware group consumer always joins its group.

Source

pub fn create_group(self, create: bool) -> Self

Source

pub fn polling_retry_interval(self, interval: Duration) -> Self

How long a failed poll waits before it is retried.

Source

pub fn init_retries(self, retries: u32, interval: Duration) -> Self

Source

pub fn allow_replay(self) -> Self

Native only. A policy-aware group consumer honors its start position as given.

Source

pub async fn build(self) -> Result<Consumer, LaserError>
