Configures a memory topic, built with Laser::memory_topic. Tune the stream, partition count, and message-expiry, then build ensures the topic and returns the handle.

The stream the memory topic lives on (default the client’s default stream). Names an explicit stream so memory can be isolated from data.

pub fn partitions(self, partitions: u32) -> Self

The topic’s partition count (default 1). Each scope’s records share a partition key, so more partitions spread scopes, never split one scope.

pub fn ttl(self, ttl: Duration) -> Self

Expire records on the stream after this long (default DEFAULT_MEMORY_TOPIC_TTL, thirty days), bounding the audit history. The materialized read view keeps its own retention, so this only sets how long the raw history lives on the topic.

pub fn no_expiry(self) -> Self

Keep records on the stream indefinitely (until topic retention rotates them out), opting out of the default message-expiry.

pub async fn build(self) -> Result<MemoryHandle, LaserError>

Ensure the stream and topic (partitions and expiry) and return memory on it.
