MemoryKind

Enum MemoryKind

Source
pub enum MemoryKind {
    Fact,
    Message,
    Summary,
    Entity,
    Feedback,
    Procedure,
}
Expand description

What a remembered item is. Agentic memory is an SDK layer over the streaming, query, and graph primitives, so this is an SDK type, not a wire op field.

Variants§

§

Fact

A standalone fact (the default). Semantic memory: what is known.

§

Message

A conversation turn. Episodic memory: what happened.

§

Summary

A summary distilled from other items.

§

Entity

An extracted entity, the body of a graph node.

§

Feedback

A feedback signal that reweights recall.

§

Procedure

A reusable procedure: a skill or workflow recalled by task similarity and improved by outcome feedback. Procedural memory: how things are done.

Implementations§

Source§

impl MemoryKind

Source

pub const fn code(self) -> u8

A stable one-byte discriminator, mixed into a content-addressed id so the same body under different kinds gets distinct ids.

Source

pub fn from_word(word: &str) -> MemoryKind

The snake-case kind word, the form that rides the wire record and the read view. Fact for an unknown word, so a newer kind read by an older build degrades rather than fails.

Source

pub const fn class(self) -> MemoryClass

The memory class this kind belongs to, in the converging episodic / semantic / procedural taxonomy. Episodic is what happened (messages), Procedural is how things are done (procedures), and everything else is Semantic (what is known).
