What the connected infrastructure serves beyond the open SDK surface. The open SDK works on Apache Iggy with everything off (OPEN). LaserData Cloud reports a richer set at connect, lighting up the matching paths with no change to the caller’s imports. Nothing here falls back to a working state on raw Apache Iggy: when a capability is off, the matching call returns LaserError::Unsupported.

Capabilities are grouped by where they live and what they depend on, rather than a flat list of unrelated flags. managed is the root (connected to a managed backend at all). The managed surfaces (query, kv, graph, forks, a2a_gateway) are served by that backend. A surface’s sub-features nest under it (QueryCaps::consistency, KvCaps::cas) so a dependent feature cannot be advertised apart from the surface it refines.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§managed: bool

Connected to a managed backend (LaserData Cloud). The root managed switch: with no backend, every managed surface below is unavailable.

§query: QueryCaps

The managed query surface (Laser::query) and the read-consistency it serves.

§destinations: DestinationCaps

Materialization destination declarations and managed checkpoint lifecycle.

§kv: KvCaps

The managed key-value surface (Laser::kv) and its conditional-write support.

§graph: bool

The managed knowledge-graph surface (Laser::graph). Agentic memory composes the query and graph surfaces, so it has no capability of its own.

§forks: bool

Managed copy-on-write forks of the read model (Laser::fork).

§a2a_gateway: bool

A managed A2A gateway (auth, streaming, persisted task store).

§sessions: bool

Managed reads of agent sessions in one stream.

§stream_tenancy: bool

The deployment scopes every managed name to one stream, and each stream’s change feed rides its own ops topic.

§watch: bool

The change feed (Laser::watch): ChangeRecords published after each committed projector batch for a binding that opted into notify. Off when the deployment does not publish the feed.

§authz: bool

The authorization control surface (Laser::whoami and the role/binding verbs). Fork-native, advertised by the AUTHZ feature bit.

§filters: FilterCaps

Server-side consumer filters, administered through a consumer group’s filter() handle: native filtered reads and, with a managed backend, the group policy catalog.

§versions: Option<OpVersions>

The wire op versions the server advertised in its AGDX_HELLO reply, or None against Apache Iggy and pre-versioned servers. When present, the SDK fails fast with the surface’s typed Version error before a round-trip whenever its pinned op version is not the advertised one.

§backends: Vec<BackendDescriptor>

Structured, versioned, secret-free backend observations advertised at connect.

§hello: HelloOutcome

What the AGDX_HELLO probe established at connect. A group consumer reads natively only when the managed surfaces are positively absent.

pub fn is_open_only(&self) -> bool

True when the connected infrastructure advertised nothing beyond the open SDK (OPEN).

Source

pub fn backend( &self, resource_id: BackendResourceId, ) -> Option<&BackendDescriptor>

Source

pub fn enabled_backends(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &BackendDescriptor>

Source

pub fn unready_backends(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &BackendDescriptor>

Source

pub fn is_ready(&self) -> bool

Source

pub fn with_managed(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy connected to a managed backend (the root switch).

Source

pub fn with_query(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy with the managed query surface available.

Source

pub fn with_query_consistency(self, level: Consistency) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising the strongest read-consistency the query surface serves.

Source

pub fn with_query_keyword(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising lexical relevance search on the query surface.

Source

pub fn with_query_execution( self, paging: bool, cancellation: bool, status: bool, ) -> Self

Source

pub fn with_destinations(self, value: bool) -> Self

Source

pub fn with_destination_consistency( self, value: CheckpointReadConsistency, ) -> Self

Source

pub fn with_kv(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy with the managed key-value surface available.

Source

pub fn with_kv_cas(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising key-value compare-and-swap.

Source

pub fn with_kv_fenced_leases(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising the key-value fenced-lease contract.

Source

pub fn with_kv_cas_fenced(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising key-value fenced compare-and-swap.

Source

pub fn with_graph(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy with the managed graph surface available.

Source

pub fn with_forks(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy with managed forks available.

Source

pub fn with_a2a_gateway(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising the managed A2A gateway.

Source

pub fn with_sessions(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising managed session reads.

Source

pub fn with_stream_tenancy(self, value: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising stream tenancy.

Source

pub fn with_filters(self, native: bool, catalog: bool) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising native consumer filters and, separately, the saved-filter catalog.

Source

pub fn with_versions(self, value: Option<OpVersions>) -> Self

Returns a copy with the advertised wire op versions.

Source

pub fn with_backends(self, value: Vec<BackendDescriptor>) -> Self

Returns a copy advertising the structured backend observations.

Source

pub fn serves_consistency(&self, level: Consistency) -> bool

Whether the query surface serves read-consistency level. Because the levels form a ladder, this is level <= self.query.consistency: Eventual is always served, and a Strong surface subsumes a read-your-writes query. An unknown future level is treated as not served (fail-safe).
