Backend-independent configuration passed to a BackendBuildFn.

kind selects which registered backend to construct; options carries backend-specific key/value settings (e.g. capacity, path).

Registered backend identifier, e.g. "moka".

options: HashMap<String, String>

Backend-specific string options.
