pub struct Connection { /* private fields */ }Expand description
A connection to a KyuGraph database.
Connections share catalog and storage via Arc. Each query gets a
consistent catalog snapshot for binding and planning; DDL mutates
both catalog and storage atomically. Every query is wrapped in a
transaction for crash safety and isolation.
Implementations§
Source§impl Connection
impl Connection
Sourcepub fn query(&self, cypher: &str) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
pub fn query(&self, cypher: &str) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
Execute a Cypher statement, returning a QueryResult.
Each statement is wrapped in a transaction: read-only queries get a
ReadOnly transaction, write queries get a Write transaction.
The transaction is committed on success and rolled back on error.
Sourcepub fn query_with_params(
&self,
cypher: &str,
params: HashMap<String, TypedValue>,
) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
pub fn query_with_params( &self, cypher: &str, params: HashMap<String, TypedValue>, ) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
Execute a Cypher statement with parameter bindings for $param placeholders.
Parameters are resolved to literal values at bind time, before planning and execution. This is the preferred way to pass dynamic values safely.
use std::collections::HashMap;
use kyu_types::TypedValue;
let mut params = HashMap::new();
params.insert("min_age".to_string(), TypedValue::Int64(25));
let result = conn.query_with_params(
"MATCH (p:Person) WHERE p.age > $min_age RETURN p.name",
params,
).unwrap();Sourcepub fn execute(
&self,
cypher: &str,
params: HashMap<String, TypedValue>,
env: HashMap<String, TypedValue>,
) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
pub fn execute( &self, cypher: &str, params: HashMap<String, TypedValue>, env: HashMap<String, TypedValue>, ) -> KyuResult<QueryResult>
Full VM-style execution with both $param bindings and env() values.
The Cypher evaluator is treated like a virtual machine: it accepts a query string plus two context maps that are resolved before planning:
params:$paramplaceholders →TypedValueenv:env('KEY')lookups →TypedValue
use std::collections::HashMap;
use kyu_types::TypedValue;
let mut params = HashMap::new();
params.insert("name".to_string(), TypedValue::String("Alice".into()));
let mut env = HashMap::new();
env.insert("PREFIX".to_string(), TypedValue::String("graph_".into()));
let result = conn.execute(
"MATCH (p:Person) WHERE p.name = $name RETURN p.name",
params,
env,
).unwrap();Sourcepub fn apply_delta(&self, batch: DeltaBatch) -> KyuResult<DeltaStats>
pub fn apply_delta(&self, batch: DeltaBatch) -> KyuResult<DeltaStats>
Apply a batch of conflict-free, idempotent upserts that bypass OCC.
All deltas in the batch commit atomically via a single WAL append. Semantics are “last write wins” — safe only when upsert semantics are acceptable (ingestion pipelines, agentic code graphs, document processing).

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
