Expand description

Version/capability offer. Field numbers are part of the wire contract. Never reuse a removed field number or change its type.

Fields§

§minimum: u32

Oldest binary version this peer can speak.

Field 1: minimum

§maximum: u32

Newest binary version this peer can speak.

Field 2: maximum

§supported: u64

Implemented optional capabilities.

Field 3: supported

§required: u64

Capabilities without which this connection must be refused.

Field 4: required

§max_frame: u32

Maximum encoded frame this peer will receive.

Field 5: max_frame

§application: String

Application protocol identifier; not an authentication credential.

Field 6: application

§profile: String

Installation profile, such as stable or dev. Must match the peer exactly.

Field 7: profile

§instance: String

Named service instance. Must match the peer exactly.

Field 8: instance

§service_id: Vec<u8>

Package-owned UUID, exactly 16 bytes, non-nil and stable across upgrades. This is an identity check, not an authentication credential.

Field 9: service_id

§reads_refusal: bool

This client reads a refusal in place of the server’s offer. A server sends one only when this is set; any other client sees the connection close.

Field 10: reads_refusal

§refusal: EnumValue<Refusal>

Set only in a server’s refusal, which carries no other field. The server closes the connection after sending it.

Field 11: refusal

Implementations§

Source§

impl Hello

Source

pub const TYPE_URL: &'static str = "type.googleapis.com/kunobi.daemon.v2.Hello"

Protobuf type URL for this message, for use with Any::pack and Any::unpack_if.

Format: type.googleapis.com/<fully.qualified.TypeName>

Source§

impl Hello

Source

pub fn new(identity: &ServiceIdentity, supported: u64, required: u64) -> Self

Offer capabilities for a stable service installation. Use the same identity to derive resource paths and negotiate on both endpoints. The offer reads refusals: Session::connect reports a server’s Refused reason.

impl Message for Hello

Source§

fn compute_size(&self, _cache: &mut SizeCache) -> u32

Returns the total encoded size in bytes.

Accumulates in u64 (which cannot overflow for in-memory data) and saturates to u32 at return, so a message whose encoded size exceeds the 2 GiB protobuf limit yields a value above ::buffa::MAX_MESSAGE_BYTES that the encode entry points reject, never a silently wrapped size.

Source§

fn write_to(&self, _cache: &mut SizeCache, buf: &mut impl EncodeSink)

Write this message’s encoded bytes to a buffer, consuming nested-message sizes from cache (populated by a prior compute_size call on the same cache). Read more

Source§

fn encode_with_cache(&self, cache: &mut SizeCache, buf: &mut impl EncodeSink)

Source§

fn try_encode_with_cache( &self, cache: &mut SizeCache, buf: &mut impl EncodeSink, ) -> Result<(), EncodeError>

Source§

fn try_encode_bounded( &self, max_bytes: u32, buf: &mut impl EncodeSink, ) -> Result<u32, EncodeError>
