#[non_exhaustive]pub enum UserEvidence {
Connection,
PidLookup,
}Expand description
Where Credentials::same_user came from.
A policy that must not rest on a PID can require Self::Connection; the
built-in policies accept either.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Connection
The user the OS recorded for the connection itself: the Unix kernel’s peer credentials, or a named-pipe client’s own security context.
PidLookup
The user of the process that has the connection’s peer PID. If the peer has exited while another process holds its end, a process that reused the PID is checked instead. A Windows client checking its server gets this, and so does a server that has not yet read from a client under dynamic context tracking.
