Web fetch tool: fetches a web page and converts HTML to plain text for LLM consumption.

Unlike http_request (an API client returning raw responses), this tool:

  • Only supports GET
  • Follows redirects (up to 10)
  • Converts HTML to clean plain text via nanohtml2text
  • Passes through text/plain, text/markdown, and application/json as-is
  • Sets a descriptive User-Agent
  • Falls back to Firecrawl API when standard fetch fails (if enabled)
