ImageBacking

Enum ImageBacking

Source
pub enum ImageBacking {
    Atlas,
    Texture,
}
Expand description

Where a registered image’s pixels are kept for drawing. The core decides on the two facts that matter — whether the image fits an atlas page, and whether its pixels were ever replaced — and the app never chooses.

Variants§

§

Atlas

Blitted into the glyph atlas at first draw and drawn as crate::display::QuadKind::Image: icons, thumbnails, anything that fits and never changes.

§

Texture

A texture of its own, drawn as crate::display::QuadKind::Texture through an entry in DisplayList::textures: an image that does not fit a MAX_ATLAS_SIZE page, or one that has been updated in place. Once here, an image stays here.
