#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ErrorClass {
Interrupted,
VariantChange,
Other,
}Expand description
Single-discriminant classification of a DecodeError.
Walking the source chain via separate per-class boolean predicates
in sequence forces the chain to be traversed twice on the failure
path. DecodeError::classify runs the walk once and returns this
tag so callers can match instead of cascading boolean predicates.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Interrupted
Interrupted by seek / cooperative pending — caller should retry.
VariantChange
Cross-variant boundary — caller must recreate the decoder.
Other
Anything else — caller surfaces as terminal failure.
