Pending

Struct Pending

Source
pub struct Pending
{ /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Adapts a Pollable into a Future, retaining the strong Waiter between polls so its weak registration stays live.

Derefs to the inner value, so any inherent methods you define on it are reachable through the pending handle (e.g. a non-blocking poll, or an update).

Implementations§

Source§

impl
Pending

Source

pub fn new(inner: P) -> Self

Wrap a Pollable so it can be .awaited.

Source

pub fn into_inner(self) -> P

Consume the wrapper, returning the inner value.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl
Deref for Pending

Source§

type Target = P

The resulting type after dereferencing.
Source§

fn deref(&self) -> &P

Dereferences the value.
Source§

impl
DerefMut for Pending

Source§

fn deref_mut(&mut self) -> &mut P

Mutably dereferences the value.
Source§

impl<P: Pollable> Future for Pending

Source§

type Output = <P as Pollable>::Output

The type of value produced on completion.
Source§

fn poll(self: Pin<&mut Self>, cx: &mut Context<'_>) -> Poll<P::Output>

Attempts to resolve the future to a final value, registering the current task for wakeup if the value is not yet available. Read more
