Variants

ShortFirst

Generate backward from maturity; a leftover front period stays as a short first period. The default, and by far the most common arrangement for a fixed-rate bond.

LongFirst

Generate backward from maturity; a leftover front period is absorbed into the following one, making a long first period.

ShortLast

Generate forward from issue; a leftover final period stays as a short last period.

LongLast

Generate forward from issue; a leftover final period is absorbed into the preceding one, making a long last period.
