Open

Still true, and still unattended.

Acknowledged

A person looked and decided it needs no action. The condition may well still hold - the alert is answered, not gone.

Resolved

The condition stopped being true on its own, and nobody had to do anything. Distinct from acknowledged on purpose: how much of what the server shouted about was real is the one question worth asking of this table later, and a single “closed” flag would throw the answer away.
