Struct Diag

Expand description

a diagnostic of a code editor: a part of the text in lines and columns from 1 as compilers report them (columns count characters, a tab is one; the end is exclusive, an end at or before the start marks the one character at the start, past a line’s end the end of the line), a severity DIAG_* and the message (see the module header)

Fields§

§line: usize

where it starts (from 1)

§col: usize§end_line: usize

where it ends (exclusive)

§end_col: usize§severity: u8

§msg: String

Implementations§

Source§

impl Diag

Source

pub fn new( line: usize, col: usize, end_col: usize, severity: u8, msg: &str, ) -> Diag

a part of one line: line:col .. line:end_col

Source

pub fn span( line: usize, col: usize, end_line: usize, end_col: usize, severity: u8, msg: &str, ) -> Diag

line:col .. end_line:end_col
