#[non_exhaustive]pub enum Configure {
Shell,
CloudInit,
Ansible,
}Expand description
The CM tool that writes a VM’s configuration.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Shell
The shell library (configure.sh), or the PowerShell library on Windows.
CloudInit
The shell library carried in cloud-init’s user data, run at first boot.
Ansible
Ansible, from Isoloom’s Linux controller: site.yml and its roles.
Implementations§
Source§impl Configure
impl Configure
Sourcepub fn default_on(target: Target, family: Family) -> Option<Configure>
pub fn default_on(target: Target, family: Family) -> Option<Configure>
The tool target configures a VM of family with when none is chosen: today’s carrier.
None for a target whose machines are containers (the recipe is baked into the image)
or cloud services.
Sourcepub fn pairs_with(self, target: Target) -> Result<()>
pub fn pairs_with(self, target: Target) -> Result<()>
Whether target can hand its VMs to this tool, else why not.
§Errors
Error::Unpaired: the container targets bake the recipe into the image, Vagrant’s
cloud-init is experimental and its boxes don’t ship it, existing hosts never boot for it.
