pub enum SpeedClass {
VeryFast,
Fast,
Balanced,
Slow,
VerySlow,
}Expand description
Qualitative speed tier for a codec.
The ordering is VeryFast < Fast < Balanced < Slow < VerySlow, i.e.
a smaller variant is faster.
Variants§
VeryFast
Negligible encoding/decoding overhead (e.g. pass-through, LZ4).
Fast
Low overhead; suitable for latency-sensitive paths.
Balanced
Moderate overhead; good balance of speed and compression.
Slow
High overhead; use when CPU is not the bottleneck.
VerySlow
Very high overhead; only for batch/offline scenarios.
