A message that can be stored in a per-topic BinaryHeap.

Ordering is based purely on priority: higher numerical value → greater ordering, so the binary heap (a max-heap) will always pop the highest-priority message first. Ties are broken by earlier enqueued_at (FIFO within the same priority).

Fields

payload: Vec<u8>

Raw message bytes.

priority: u8

Message priority (0 = lowest, 255 = highest).

enqueued_at: Instant

Monotonic timestamp recorded at enqueue time.

topic: String

The topic this message belongs to.
