Variants

UnexpectedEof

Buffer truncated mid-frame.

FrameTooLarge

Frame larger than the configured max.

Fields

max: u32

Maximum frame size the codec was configured to accept.

actual: u32

Actual size declared in the wire header.

ProtocolViolation(SmolStr)

Reserved field had a non-zero value, or a flag combination is disallowed by the spec.

ChecksumMismatch

CRC / LRC / checksum mismatch.

InvalidString(SmolStr)

Wire-format string was not valid utf-8 / ascii.

ValueOutOfRange(SmolStr)

A value the codec produced fits the wire shape but cannot be represented in the Rust target type (e.g. negative length).
