Dart’s AnnotationResult<S> while a search walks the tree: the type it looks for and what it has found, erased so Layer::find_annotations can sit in a vtable. AnyLayer::find and AnyLayer::find_all_annotations turn it back into an AnnotationResult<S>. See PORTING.md.
