Enum OpenMode

Whether a command surface may write to the database it opens.

An enum rather than a bare bool (task-1962, A9). Context::open(path, true, root) at a call site says nothing about what the true decides, and the surface it opens is the one an operator reaches for when they want to be certain nothing is written.

Variants

ReadOnly

Statements that write are refused.

ReadWrite

The ordinary surface.
