Expand description

One defect found while reading a table or time series.

A read never drops what it cannot decode: a malformed slot, a dangling reference, or a violated WHERE rule becomes an issue on the returned view, and whatever did decode is still returned beside it. entity is always the record the defect sits on, which may be a row, column or value record rather than the container that was asked for.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Arity

The record’s slot count differs from its schema declaration.

Slots are still read by position, so a short record reports its missing required attributes as well.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record.

§type_name: &'static str

Its STEP type name.

§expected: usize

Slots the schema declares.

§found: usize

Slots the record carries.

§

Missing

A required attribute is null or absent.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute.

§

Malformed

A slot holds a value its declaration does not admit.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute.

§found: String

The value found, in Debug form.

§

EmptyList

A LIST [1:?] attribute is present but empty.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute.

§

Dangling

A reference names a record the model does not hold.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record holding the reference.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute.

§target: EntityId

The missing target.

§

WrongReferenceType

A reference names a record of the wrong type.

Fields

§entity: EntityId

The record holding the reference.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute.

§target: EntityId

The target.

§expected: &'static str

The type the declaration requires.

§actual: String

The type the target has.

§

RaggedRow

IfcTable.WR1: a row’s cell count differs from the first row’s.

Fields

§table: EntityId

The table.

§row: EntityId

The offending row.

§index: usize

Its zero-based position in Rows.

§expected: usize

Cells in Rows[1].

§found: usize

Cells in this row.

§

TooManyHeadings

IfcTable.WR2: more than one row has IsHeading TRUE.

Fields

§table: EntityId

The table.

§found: usize

How many rows claim to be the heading.
