Expand description

A malformed, unresolved, or unsupported presentation contract.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

UnknownEntity

An entity id was looked up but the model does not contain it.

Fields

§id: EntityId

The id that resolved to nothing.

§

WrongEntityType

An entity was read as one IFC type but is actually another.

Fields

§id: EntityId

The entity that was read.

§expected: &'static str

The IFC type the caller expected.

§actual: String

The IFC type actually declared.

§

UnsupportedEntity

The active schema does not declare the requested entity type.

Fields

§schema: String

The schema’s name.

§entity: &'static str

The entity type name that is undeclared.

§

MissingAttribute

A mandatory attribute was absent, so the value cannot be inferred.

Fields

§entity: String

The entity’s IFC type.

§id: EntityId

The entity that was read.

§attribute: &'static str

Schema name of the attribute.

§

InvalidValue

An attribute was present but held the wrong kind of value.

Fields

§entity: String

The entity’s IFC type.

§id: EntityId

The entity that was read.

§attribute: &'static str

Schema name of the attribute.

§value: String

Debug-formatted offending value.

§

UnsupportedAttribute

The active schema declares the entity but not the requested attribute slot.

Fields

§schema: String

The schema’s name.

§entity: &'static str

The entity type name.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute name that is undeclared.

§

DanglingReference

A reference attribute pointed at an entity id the model does not contain.

Fields

§source_id: EntityId

The entity holding the dangling reference.

§target: EntityId

The id that resolved to nothing.

§

ReferenceType

A reference resolved, but the target is not the IFC type (or select member) the referencing slot requires.

Fields

§target: EntityId

The entity that was read.

§expected: &'static str

The IFC type (or select) the slot requires.

§actual: String

The IFC type actually declared.

§

AuthoringInvalid

An authoring helper was given a value it cannot encode for the target attribute.

Fields

§entity: &'static str

The IFC entity type being authored.

§attribute: &'static str

The attribute being set.

§value: String

Debug-formatted offending value.

§

OutOfRange

A normalized-ratio or bounded measure fell outside its required range.

Fields

§entity: &'static str

The measure’s IFC type, e.g. "IfcNormalisedRatioMeasure".

§id: EntityId

The entity that was read.

§attribute: &'static str

Schema name of the attribute.

§value: f64

The out-of-range value.

§minimum: f64

The inclusive lower bound.

§maximum: f64

The inclusive upper bound.

§

AmbiguousStyleAssignment

More than one IfcStyledItem directly assigned styles to the same representation item; cascade resolution refuses to guess a winner.

Fields

§item: EntityId

The representation item with conflicting direct assignments.

§count: usize

The number of conflicting IfcStyledItems found.
