Which control is being staged.

A single enum rather than four writers: the four differ only in type name, predefined-type enum, and whether they carry the Status/LongDescription tail. Four near-identical functions would drift apart on the next schema revision.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Permit

IfcPermit: authorisation to proceed.

ProjectOrder

IfcProjectOrder: an instruction to carry work out.

ActionRequest

IfcActionRequest: a request that work be done.

PerformanceHistory

IfcPerformanceHistory: recorded in-use behaviour.
