Expand description

Options to tailor line breaking behavior, such as for CSS.

🚧 This code is experimental; it may change at any time, in breaking or non-breaking ways, including in SemVer minor releases. It can be enabled with the "experimental" feature of the icu meta-crate. Use with caution. #2259

Fields (Non-exhaustive)

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
line_break_rule: LineBreakRule

Strictness of line-breaking rules. See LineBreakRule.

word_break_rule: WordBreakRule

Line break opportunities between letters. See WordBreakRule.

ja_zh: bool

Use true as a hint to the line breaker that the writing system is Chinese or Japanese. This allows more break opportunities when LineBreakRule is Normal or Loose. See https://drafts.csswg.org/css-text-3/#line-break-property for details.

This option has no effect in Latin-1 mode.
