Expand description

Fixed non-snapshot reset policies, supplied independently by a recipe and its reset.

A missing field makes no claim for that domain. In particular, absence differs from explicitly reporting StateResetPolicy::IrrelevantByRecipeContract. Each domain has one typed field, so duplicate declarations cannot be formed.

use ic_testkit::pic::{
    ResetPolicies, ResetReceipt, ResetRequirements, SnapshotRestoreFunding, TimeResetPolicy,
};

let requirements = ResetRequirements {
    funding: SnapshotRestoreFunding::Preserve,
    policies: ResetPolicies {
        pocket_ic_time: Some(TimeResetPolicy::PreserveCurrent),
        ..ResetPolicies::default()
    },
};
// The reset independently reports that it preserved simulated time.
let receipt = ResetReceipt {
    policies: ResetPolicies {
        pocket_ic_time: Some(TimeResetPolicy::PreserveCurrent),
        ..ResetPolicies::default()
    },
};
assert_eq!(requirements.policies.pocket_ic_time, receipt.policies.pocket_ic_time);

Fields§

§pocket_ic_time: Option<TimeResetPolicy>

PocketIC simulated time.

§extra_canisters: Option<ExtraCanisterPolicy>

Canisters outside the captured baseline set.

§pending_messages: Option<StateResetPolicy>

Pending ingress, timers, or cross-canister messages.

§subnet_state: Option<StateResetPolicy>

Subnet-global state outside canister snapshots.

§external_resources: Option<StateResetPolicy>

Caller-owned files, processes, services or other external state.
