A named quality a stage can require or establish.

Qualities are opaque strings by design: the set is extensible per- platform without a central registry. Conventional names:

• "validated" — input has passed schema/spec validation
• "compliance:nist-800-53" — NIST compliance invariants hold
• "compliance:pci-dss" — PCI DSS invariants hold
• "content-addressed" — value has a stable BLAKE3 content hash
• "deterministic-render" — rendering from this produces byte- identical output on re-run
• "attested" — value carries a signed provenance chain
