ConstSha256

Struct ConstSha256

Source
pub struct ConstSha256 { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Incremental SHA-256 state that can be evaluated at compile time.

This is intended for generated, static commitments whose canonical input is assembled from many slices. It avoids allocating one concatenated buffer and avoids restarting the compression function for every field.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ConstSha256

Source

pub const fn new() -> ConstSha256

Create an empty SHA-256 state.

Source

pub const fn update(self, input: &[u8]) -> ConstSha256

Append bytes to the hash input.

Source

pub const fn finalize(self) -> [u8; 32]

Finalize the digest without modifying the original state.
