Operator override of how one detected caption stream is advertised (RFC 8216bis §4.4.6.1, Apple HLS authoring spec item 4.4). It never makes a stream appear: a stream is advertised only once the video is seen to carry it. Consumed by HlsOriginBuilder::closed_caption_overrides.

Fields

instream_id: String

The INSTREAM-ID this override applies to: "CC1".."CC4" or "SERVICE1".."SERVICE63".

name: String

NAME; empty keeps the default, the INSTREAM-ID itself.

language: String

LANGUAGE (BCP 47); empty omits the attribute. The bitstream carries no language, and Apple’s mediastreamvalidator flags the placeholder "und" as an unrecognised subtag, so none is invented; Apple’s authoring rule 4.4 asks for one, which is what this field is for.
