A typed declaration of one audio rendition for a multivariant playlist (RFC 8216bis §4.4.6.1, Apple HLS authoring spec items 9.5-9.8). Consumed by HlsOriginBuilder::audio_renditions.

Fields

group_id: String

GROUP-ID of the audio rendition group.

name: String

NAME of the rendition. On a split-audio route it may be left empty and is then derived from the track (the language, plus (AD) for an audio-description track), made unique within its group.

language: String

LANGUAGE of the rendition; must be non-empty ("und" for undetermined) unless split-audio derivation is active, which then fills it from the track’s PMT ISO_639_language_descriptor, canonicalised to a BCP 47 (RFC 5646) primary language subtag via bcp47_language (ISO 639-2/B and 639-2/T are mapped to ISO 639-1 when one exists).

default: bool

DEFAULT attribute.

autoselect: bool

AUTOSELECT attribute.

channels: Option<String>

CHANNELS attribute (e.g. "2" or "JOC 3/2.0.2"). None on a split-audio route derives the codec config’s channel count.

uri: String

URI of the audio media playlist.

characteristics: Vec<String>

CHARACTERISTICS MCTs. Empty on a split-audio route derives public.accessibility.describes-video for an audio-description track; a non-empty value always wins.
