Limiter

Struct Limiter

Source
pub struct Limiter { /* private fields */ }

Implementations§

Source§

impl Limiter

Source

pub fn new(policy: Policy) -> Self

Source

pub fn with_capacity(policy: Policy, capacity: usize) -> Self

Source

pub fn attempt(&self, addr: IpAddr, now: Instant) -> Result<(), Duration>

Start an attempt from addr: Err(retry_after) while it (or the shared overflow budget it falls back to) is locked out, else the attempt is counted as a failure until succeeded.

Source

pub fn succeeded(&self, addr: IpAddr)

The attempt succeeded: addr’s own count and lockout are cleared. (An address that was counted against the shared overflow budget instead never had its own entry to clear; the overflow budget itself is shared and is not reset by any one address’s success.)

Source

pub fn clear(&self)

Forget every address and the overflow budget: a lockout ends now.

Source

pub fn tracked(&self) -> usize

Addresses currently tracked with their own entry (not counting the shared overflow budget, which is not itself an address).
