Factors of a sweep, as a spec writes them and as a plan resolves them.
A factor is one parameter, or the tick of one action, that a sweep varies. Each value it takes is a level. A random or Latin hypercube design samples its factors, and can draw a factor’s value from a whole range instead of a list of levels.
