Configuration for a single backend in the composite storage.

Note: Serde serialization is not directly supported due to complex types. Use the builder pattern for configuration.

Fields

id: String

Unique identifier for this backend.

role: BackendRole

The role this backend plays in the composite.

kind: BackendKind

Backend kind (sqlite, postgres, elasticsearch, etc.).

connection: String

Connection string or configuration for this backend.

priority: u8

Priority for routing (lower = preferred when multiple backends can handle a query).

enabled: bool

Whether this backend is enabled.

capabilities: Vec<BackendCapability>

Explicit capabilities this backend provides. If empty, derived from the backend kind and role.

failover_to: Option<String>

Failover backend ID when this backend is unavailable.

options: HashMap<String, Value>

Additional backend-specific configuration.
