base64-encoded narrow Biscuit. Embed in the WS upgrade URL as ?token=<this>. Disposable on the caller’s side after the WS connection is established.

expires_at: Option<Timestamp>

Unix-seconds wall-clock expiry. Always 5 minutes from issue. Surfacing it lets the client know when to re-mint without parsing the token.
