#[non_exhaustive]pub enum BackendFailureKind {
Transient,
Throttled,
Permanent,
}Expand description
Retry-policy classification for Error::Backend.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Transient
Temporary failure; retry with exponential backoff.
Throttled
Backend is rate-limiting the caller. Retry honoring any Retry-After
signal surfaced in Backend.message.
Permanent
Permanent failure; retry will not help without external action.
