Cid

Struct Cid

Source
pub struct Cid {
    pub hash: [u8; 32],
    pub key: Option<[u8; 32]>,
}
Expand description

Content identifier with hash and optional encryption key

For encrypted content: contains both hash (to locate) and key (to decrypt) For public content: contains only hash

Note: Size is not part of CID - it’s metadata stored in Link/DirEntry

Fields§

§hash: [u8; 32]

SHA256 hash of the (possibly encrypted) content

§key: Option<[u8; 32]>

Encryption key (content hash of plaintext for CHK) None for unencrypted/public content

Implementations§

Source§

impl Cid

Source

pub fn public(hash: [u8; 32]) -> Cid

Create a new CID for public (unencrypted) content

Source

pub fn encrypted(hash: [u8; 32], key: [u8; 32]) -> Cid

Create a new CID for encrypted content

Source

pub fn is_encrypted(&self) -> bool

Check if this CID refers to encrypted content

Source

pub fn parse(s: &str) -> Result<Cid, CidParseError>

Parse a CID from string format Accepts “hash” or “hash:key”
