Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

PreAction

Pre-action — runs before a tool invocation (rare; mostly used by hooks).

SelfCorrect

Inside the agent loop, after each action. Cheap & fast only.

PreCommit

Right before commit / handoff. Heavier checks ok.

PostIntegrate

In CI, after integration. Expensive sensors allowed.

Continuous

Long-running runtime monitoring (SLOs, log anomalies, drift).
