A single [[contributes]] host-surface contribution.
[[contributes]]
kind = "editor.language" # host-owned namespaced vocabulary
id = "latex" # unique within the package
title = "LaTeX"
when = "*.tex" # optional activation predicate (host-interpreted)
scopes = ["workspace:read_text"] # MUST be a subset of [package].permissions
platforms = ["macos", "linux"] # optional support/parity matrix; empty = all
# kind-specific keys are captured into `config` and interpreted by the host:
languageId = "latex"
extensions = [".tex", ".sty"]Fields§
§kind: StringHost-owned, namespaced contribution kind (e.g. editor.language,
editor.preview, build.profile, editor.command, editor.theme).
Harn does not enumerate kinds — new ones need no release; it only
requires the value be namespaced (segment(.segment)+).
id: StringStable identifier, unique across the package’s contributions.
title: Option<String>§when: Option<String>Optional activation predicate the host interprets (a glob, a
languageId, or a host-defined expression). Absent = always available.
scopes: Vec<String>Capability scopes this contribution exercises. Every entry MUST be
declared in [package].permissions; validation fails closed otherwise.
platforms: Vec<String>Optional support/parity matrix — which surfaces/platforms this
contribution targets (e.g. macos, linux, windows, ide, tui).
Empty means “all”.
config: BTreeMap<String, Value>Kind-specific payload, captured verbatim and interpreted by the host.
Implementations§
Source§impl ContributionEntry
impl ContributionEntry
Sourcepub fn has_namespaced_kind(&self) -> bool
pub fn has_namespaced_kind(&self) -> bool
true when kind is a non-empty, dot-namespaced identifier such as
editor.language. Single-segment kinds are rejected so third parties
cannot squat unprefixed names.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():

are pithier.
§Example

Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example

Enables the yansi Quirk value.

pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():

The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
