Gather

Struct Gather

Source
pub struct Gather {
    pub out: Vec<Entry>,
    /* private fields */
}
Expand description

Whole entries out of a stream — LogSource::fetch spelled over LogSource::fetch_into, for the callers that want them (tests, small ranges). Holds what it gathers, which is the point of using it only where that is small — and BOUNDED (stinky row 20, 2026-10-10): no entry over GATHER_MAX_ENTRY, no more than GATHER_MAX_TOTAL of blob in all, and no entry past the length it declared. reserve_for bounds only the first allocation; these bound what a peer that keeps sending can make this box hold.

Fields§

§out: Vec<Entry>

The entries, in order, once ended.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Gather

Source

pub fn bounded(max_entry: u64, max_total: u64) -> Gather

A gather that holds no entry over max_entry bytes and no more than max_total bytes of blob in all.

Source§

impl FrameSink for Gather

Source§

fn begin( &mut self, seq: u64, kind: u16, meta: &[u8], blob_len: u64, ) -> Result<()>

An entry begins.
Source§

fn piece(&mut self, bytes: &[u8]) -> Result<()>

The next piece of the open entry’s blob.
Source§

fn end(&mut self) -> Result<()>

The open entry is whole.
Source§

fn begin_at( &mut self, seq: u64, kind: u16, meta: &[u8], blob_len: u64, offset: u64, ) -> Result<()>

An entry begins part-way — its pieces start at byte offset of the blob (restore-large-entry, 2026-10-07: stream_range_at). A sink that can only take whole entries refuses any offset but 0.
Source§

fn checked(&mut self, _payload_crc: u32) -> Result<()>

The open entry’s payload crc32c (meta ‖ blob), checked by the source against what it read, before its last piece: a sink that forwards entries vouches with it.
