pub enum Claim {
OffStripe,
SameDevice,
Absent,
}Expand description
What gunnar is allowed to say about the copies that need another failure domain.
Three values, and deliberately not a bool with a comment: the middle one
is the whole point. A mirror that is present and dies with its original is
not “OK” and is not “missing”, and the two words a boolean offers are both
lies about it.
Variants§
OffStripe
The installer says this is a different failure domain. The copy survives losing a data disk.
SameDevice
The installer says it is not. Present, written, readable — and on the same device as what it protects.
Absent
Nothing has said either way. Not confirmed off-stripe, and never reported as if it were.
