Struct DataKey

pub struct DataKey { /* private fields */ }

One epoch’s data key. Zeroed on drop; Debug never prints the key.

Implementations

impl DataKey

pub fn from_bytes(epoch: u32, bytes: [u8; 64]) -> DataKey

A key from raw bytes. Epochs start at 1.

pub fn generate(epoch: u32) -> DataKey

A fresh random key (the OS random source).

pub fn epoch(&self) -> u32

The epoch this key belongs to.

pub fn bytes(&self) -> &[u8; 64]

The raw key.

pub fn id(&self) -> String

A short public fingerprint of the key (16 hex digits of a domain-separated SHA-256), safe to print: it names a key without revealing it.

Trait Implementations

impl Clone for DataKey

fn clone(&self) -> Self

Returns a duplicate of the value.

fn clone_from(&mut self, source: &Self)

Performs copy-assignment from source.

impl Debug for DataKey

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter.

impl Eq for DataKey

impl PartialEq for DataKey

fn eq(&self, other: &Self) -> bool

Equality operator ==.

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

Inequality operator !=.
