Variants

Dropped(u32)

The newer ring lacks an epoch the older ring has.

Replaced(u32)

The newer ring has a DIFFERENT key for an epoch the older ring has — the signature of a substituted ring (someone who never held the real keys made a fresh ring and wrapped it to the members).

IdKeyChanged

The newer ring has a different id key. The id key never changes.
